My husband Steve found Safeway Construction on Yelp. They were able to give us a good and affordable quote right away. We had an ongoing problem in which our upstairs shower was leaking through our garage ceiling. They were able to come to our home to fix our shower and install new tile to where the shower leak was coming from, and they also fixed the leak area in the garage ceiling and put drywall once done. They also installed a nice new shower door that was very much needed. We purchased the shower door from Home Depot and Adam picked it up for us. They were able to complete all these tasks in about 3 days! Adam Barakat and his team did an excellent job with these much needs repairs, and they were very pleasant, dedicated and professional to work with. I highly recommend Safeway Construction!

Safeway Construction remodeled all 3 of my bathroom.  They are on time, reliable, flexible, honest and always listen to my concerns and helped me the best they can.  The tile guy Louie has excellent craftmanship and I could not be happier with the result.  I felt like I was using a 5 star hotel bathroom every time i look at my new bathroom.  Adam is a great guy and his crew are extremely nice to work with.

Safeway, Adam, and Adeeb were amazing! We used them for a MAJOR renovation/remodel project that literally gutted and rebuilt everything in the house inside and out! You name it, they did it.  From the boring stuff to new roof, new piping, new electrical, to the fun stuff like new kitchen, new bathrooms, new flooring, new fireplaces, new doors, new windows, new skylights, EVERYTHING!  Literally not a single surface of the house you can see (and a lot you can't) they handled reimagining entirely. They even took on a major re-engineering of the space, taking multiple walls and building new walls.  And they did this all in a little over two months!

However, to the point was how great and on point their work was.  Most importantly, for us:

(1) Adam is incredibly detail-oriented and conscientious which leads to major projects coming through on time, on budget, with no surprises.  

For a major project like this you would expect there to be delays, cost overruns etc. right? Not with Safeway! Everything proceeded even a little ahead of schedule, even with change orders on the way, and right on budget.  

Key to this, and why we had a good feeling about Safeway from the start, is the detailed approach Adam and Adeeb take to providing quotes and planning in advance.  We interviewed a half-dozen or more contractors (and reached out to even more) before settling with Safeway.  Safeway took a little longer than the other guys to set an appointment, and a little longer to get a quote.  But the reason was clear.  Every other contractor basically spent 20 minutes selling themselves, 10 minutes glancing around, and threw out a number.  Adam on the other hand took his time, he took measurements, checked our pipes, subflooring etc. Thus, when Safeway's final quote came up, it wasn't just your regular quote if everything went perfectly.  He took the time to make sure he really understood the house and the project, and that way he could include things he knew we would need to address (like corroded pipes, or damaged subflooring) rather than have them be surprises later.  This careful detailed approach by Adam and his team is why Safeway delivered on time and on budget.

(2) Adam stands by his work and reputation.  Of note, even after being fully paid, Safeway stands by their work.  Since the project was completed, Adam has come back multiple times - whether to finish installing some light fixtures that were out of stock during the project, or various small touchups that only became apparent after the house settled a bit.  Adam even came back to fix things that we never noticed, (some loose paint on eaves), but he noticed himself on a visit over.  That's testament to the pride that Adam takes in his work.  To me that's just as important as Safeway's great work to begin with.  We can truly rest easy knowing that not only is Safeway's work top notch, but they'll stand by it if anything does happen in the future.

I would heartily recommend Safeway for any project, big or small.

It took a while for me to get to this review but we used Safeway  for a small remodel project including a laundry room, a bathroom, installing a range hood and replacing some countertops.  They did good work at a reasonable price and Adam didn't mind explaining things to me as we went along, which not all contractors are open to with a female client.  Mo was great with the email side of communication.  Everything got done on time and in budget with no big surprises, which is pretty much a miracle these days.

I had my whole kitchen painted and my fireplaces tiles installed by Safeway. They did a fantastic job and were very professional throughout the entire process. They have excellent communication compared to other contractors I've tried to work with.

I could not be any happier! Adam, Moh and the rest of the guys are fantastic! Price was good, service top notch! These guys came when they said they would, did what they said they would, and helped us come up with ideas to save money!

We had them remove popcorn from the ceiling in our family room, add recessed lights, and completely gut and remodel our master bathroom. They completed the entire project in less than 2 weeks! The ONLY delay was due to Home Depot not delivering an item on time.

The team worked hard, and made huge progress each day! I am very impressed by them.  Please give them a shot if you're looking for a contractor. I truly believe these guys can do whatever you need!

They did a fabulous job of installing my microwave and venting it. Adam fixed a hole in my kitchen floor that I thought was not able to be repaired! We would definitely hire them for any construction work in the future.

After a couple of days trying to work things out . They decided not to work with me. So I have another bid close to them that I'm working on. I wasn't told it could take up to a week for the quote. I was told by the following weekend they would notify me.  Heard nothing until I posted on Yelp!

We were so GLAD we hired Adam and Safeway Construction. During many delays with our insurance, they were helpful and positive. They had the BEST plan for our kitchen and were the most reasonable price! We were very impressed with their beautiful and efficient work.
Our kitchen looks GREAT! We will hire them again if we have another project. We "Definitely" recommend them!

Adam came over and gave us a quote to completely an aging bathroom. He did a wonderful job and all his people are very polite and professional . We had no problems at all. We are now using them to redo a 2nd bathroom. I highly recommend.
